पूर्व एमएलए स्टेशन पर पडा रहा, कोई सुध लेने वाला नहीं।

A 70-year-old critically ill former MLA remained unattended for nearly three hours at the Kanpur Central railway station in the absence of treatment even as railway authorities remained mute spectators. The condition of the victim, identified as Gorey Lal Shakya, ex-MLA of Bharthana, who as per the kin, suffered paralysis attack, was undergoing treatment at a private nursing home of the city. The incident has once again exposed the health scenario in the region. His relatives, who later took him to a private hospital, have decided to file a complaint with the railway authorities and plan to apprise the railway ministry about the situation as well. "They did'nt even provided the wheel-chair what to talk about doctor. He remained unattended for more than three hours but no medical staff appeared. He had gone to the state capital and was on board Lucknow-Chennai Express. After feeling drowsiness, when he could not stand any more, he slumped on the floor of the railway platform No 6 of the Kanpur Central," said one of his relative Sharad Mishra, while talking to TOI on phone. "I saw him lying on the floor, unattended," said another kin of the victim. "I carried him on my shoulder across to platform No 1," he added.
