Passengers who came to board the Patna-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (2309 UP) at Patna Junction on Friday had a tough time locating their bogies due to the non-functioning of the coach guidance display boards. There was total chaos on platform no. 3 when the premier train arrived there. The passengers complained that the coach combination was not in its usual sequence resulting in confusion. Two senior citizens, who had come to board the train, fell on the platform. However, Patna GRP personnel came to their rescue and helped them board the train, said a GRP official. According to the Danapur DRM, the coach guidance display boards were not working due to some technical reasons on platform no 3 and that might have caused inconvenience to the passengers on Friday. He, however, denied that there was any change in the sequence (marshalling) of coaches. He informed that he had already suspended three staff in connection with the non-functioning of the coach guidance display boards on January 3 during his surprise inspection at Patna Junction. Efforts are on to repair the fault in the coach guidance display boards, he said.
